SV45-2 Radians safety vest is made from polyester treated to be self-extinguishing as defined by ASTM D6413 (< 2.0s flameout / < 6" char length). This Type R Class 2 Safety Vest should never be used where an arc flash or flash fire hazard is present. Typical applications would be Ship Building, Steel Erection, Bridge Building, Fabrication, Asphalt Paving, and other applications involving hazards that result from errant sparks rather than open circuit electricity or a potentially explosive atmosphere.
